Dear Mr. Ahmad Shaheed Hi,
we
hope everything is OK with you, we are some absent soldiers with old
ages have lots of problems and deprivations in Iran caused by the
government.in Iran a man is subject to mandatory military service until
age 50. According to official Statistics percent by the armed forces
general duty in Iran there are almost three million absentees soldiers.
Absent
soldiers almost have wife and children and they are responsible for
their families and have lots of problems. Absence of the military at age
50 consist lots of deprivations that they are not include basic human
Rights ,for example: education deprivation ,Deprived of free enterprise,
deprived of getting passport and leave the country, driving license,
the right to withdraw the loan and the total exclusion of all social
affairs.
While The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations has been accepted by Iran:

19
years deprivation of civil rights, human rights and extreme hardships
endured and the current economic situation in Iran is a terrible
situation for a man to death gradually, it is like executed in Iran and
even is worse than it. These deprivations like a slow death. Modern
slavery is the same.
We have written several letters to The
Islamic Republic of Iran leader office several times and even the media
reported but they did not give any value to the nation's youth...
If
absent soldiers have done any error, they have paid for it for 19-year
by deprivation of full social rights, these deprivation destroyed our
youth and our lives. For example an absent soldier was born 1980 with 33
years old or another with about 37 years of age they remained in
complete social deprivation. They have spent the best years of their
youth in social deprivation and poverty. It's not enough?!
The
aim of this letter is to illustrate the facts of absent soldier’s life
and present part of the problems of absent soldiers who are mostly from
poor families. We just want to echo our voice to worlds and call for
help from the world.
and in the end , How can anyone guarantee or
explain the country have deprived three million young people for the
basic rights of social citizenship stripped for 19 years just because of
21 months of mandatory military service, If the government and this
country wants to access the nuclear bombs What does the world? What
threats bring to the world?
Finally we hope you proposed this issue at United Nations and make our voices heard.
Best regards,
A group of soldiers absent
